Thanks Hannah. I've reproduced the photo on my blog and I feel very pleased. It's a brilliant picture and so suits the poems in question.

I love this: it's the combination of those geometric lines of human engineering and the presence of dynamic little scraps of life!
This photo would be a fitting illustration for my latest two poems. On the surface they are poems about swallows, but really the concern is with how our minds perceive and react to them - so it has the 2 themes of your picture.
Would you mind Hannah if I copied to my website - with attribution of course?
all the best

Proud of my daughter's article I have lived most of my life with the welfare state & the NHS being freely available to all. In fact I spent some 32 years working in the NHS that is constantly cdhanging but retains the principles since Aneurin Bevin fist envisiged the system which became a reality in 1948. I was born in 1941 & can just remember local collectives running saving schemes to assist members meeting sudden expenses such as healthcare, funeral costs etc. True to traditions these were usually based around the village pub & weekly donations were about 5/- (five shillings or approx 1$) at Christmas moneys were paid out to members in the form of cash or goods. THis was bwecause food & everthing else was rationed. Well done Han

I remember coming home from a trip to England, and sitting next to a lovely older French man on the plane. We got to talking about his work (architecture) and why he moved to Arizona. He was from the South of France. We talked about everything from how families sit down and eat in our cultures to the types of humor to differences in billboards... It was really one of the loveliest and most nuanced conversations I've had with a stranger and it got me to thinking about how something that simple--two people in a plane--can have a more profound affect on cultural appreciation than gazillions of cultural initiatives. I like the idea of family exchanges--cool.
