More terrible t-shirt slogans:
It’s much more difficult to find woeful slogans in menswear. In womenswear, the offending t-shirts tend to be infantilising or prurient or, at worst, both. If I had a daughter, I would sooner that she went out in a tiny skirt than in a t-shirt emblazoned with the word “Lust”.
I actually find it very offensive. It’s excruciating that the designers think that these are the messages that young girls want to voice in their clothing. Even if that is the case, they are written so literally; devoid of any kind of artfulness or subtlety. Just terrible! Nil points for honouring your market and nil points for artistic merit.
